About Lilak Aluminium

Lilak Aluminium was started by its CEO – renowned industry player Clive Kalil – in 2010. With more than 40 years’ experience within the aluminium industry, Clive brings to Lilak Aluminium not only a comprehensive knowledge of the business from all aluminium related aspects, but a passion for what the industry has to offer and its potential still to be expanded upon.

Clive took on the responsibility of heading up the aluminium division at AGI before departing in 2009. After leaving, he and Pat Kalil started Lilak Aluminium. Pat brings a wealth of experience from her involvement in the industry since 1984. As financial director she heads up the financial control, admin disciplines as well as human resources of Lilak Aluminium.

A family owned and run business, Lilak Aluminium has since established itself as the largest independent aluminium importer in Sub-Saharan Africa and key supplier of aluminium extrusions.

Lilak Aluminium acquired a distribution centre in Alrode in 2020. This new addition provided the opportunity in offering warehousing and distribution solutions to the architectural stockist market together with the customized profile industry. With a 600-tonne capacity centre, Lilak Aluminium provides cost and space saving alternatives to its clients. Lilak Aluminium were fortunate to gain an established, experienced and qualified team to help in this new venture as well.
